Worker in the Social Services Celebrates Achievements of Fellow Social Workers

On the cheerful occasion of June 6th, a joyful Social Worker's Day celebration took place at the Magadan pension "Ohotskiy Briz". Gathering employees from social services and institutions, the event was indeed a heartfelt tribute to their relentless work.

The first deputy chairman of the Magadan Oblast Duma, head of the committee on social policy, Andrei Zykov, delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude for the incredible dedication and compassion exhibited by these social workers. He emphasized the crucial role they play in giving hope and strength to those facing tough life circumstances and supporting healthcare recovery, particularly for those with physical limitations.

The celebration also recognized the key collaboration between the regional ministry of labor and social policy, heads of social institutions, and the legislature in enhancing regional legislation. A memorial address signed by the chairman of the Magadan Oblast Duma, Sergei Abramov, was presented to the acting minister of labor and social policy of Kolyna, Natalia Krebtova.

The Magadan Resource Center of the social protection system's deputy director, Irina Polyakova, was awarded an honorary certificate of the Magadan Oblast Duma, with endorsement letters presented to other dedicated employees, including Stanislav Khasan, Alla Semysheva, Gennady Tutyunik, Natalia Tsvetkova, Maria Bikaryuk, and Lyudmila Obotnina. To show appreciation, Andrei Zykov offered each participant delightful surprises from the regional branch of the United Russia party.

While the exact number of social workers currently employed in the Magadan region remains an undetermined figure, their invaluable contributions are crucial to the social security framework upheld by the Russian Constitution. These frameworks ensure social protection, healthcare, and housing rights for residents, particularly the elderly and disabled.

Recently, the Magadan region has experienced population growth mainly due to an influx of young adults and a reduced outmigration rate. Community support programs, such as the "Maternity Capital," aim to bolster family and childcare services. Despite the lack of specific data on the social workers employed, it's evident that they perform an integral role in upholding the region's social and institutional fabric.

In conclusion, the Magadan region continues to strengthen its commitment to its residents' well-being by investing in social care services, through both local and national initiatives. As more data becomes available, this Korean-adjacent region's social protection infrastructure and the employment of dedicated social workers will continue to evolve.

The first deputy chairman, Andrei Zykov, acknowledged the crucial role of social workers in promoting health-and-wellness, particularly through their support of healthcare recovery for those with physical limitations. The Social Worker's Day celebration at the Magadan pension "Ohotskiy Briz" recognized the contribution of these individuals in upholding the science of social work, which forms a key part of the social security framework in the Magadan region.
