Unlicensed Houston chiropractor faces charges for sexual assault
In Harris County, Texas, Joshua Aaron Gomez, an unlicensed chiropractor, has been taken into custody following multiple allegations of sexual assault. Gomez, who surrendered his chiropractic license in 2019 due to prior complaints of sexual misconduct, is currently held in the Harris County Jail.
The exact nature of the charges against Gomez remains undisclosed, as authorities have chosen not to release further details at this time. However, it is known that at least 12 survivors have come forward with complaints ranging from sexual assault to unlicensed practice. Law enforcement suspects that there may be more victims yet to be identified.
One of the accusers, a woman who sought treatment for pubic misalignment postpartum at One Life Chiropractic in Katy, alleged inappropriate touching during a procedure. Gomez was arrested on a felony warrant and is reported to be held on bonds ranging between $50,000 and $75,000.
In addition to the Harris County charges, Gomez was also recently booked on a separate sexual assault charge in Hidalgo County related to an April 2025 offense. He posted bond in that case as well. Both cases are ongoing, and law enforcement is urging anyone with information or potential victimization to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Division or Crime Stoppers.
Authorities are also advising the public to stay updated for more information from the upcoming news conference, which is expected to be held on Friday. The case is currently under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
It is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
