Tunisian Parasail Operator Allegedly Gropes and Sexually Assaults British Woman

In Sousse, Tunisia, a British woman named Michelle Wilson, aged 52, has accused a parasailing operator of sexually assaulting her during a vacation. Wilson, who was on the ride harnessed with the operator, claimed that he groped her and manipulated the harness to pull her closer, causing her to feel violated and scared.

Wilson was on the parasailing ride separately from her friend due to windy conditions. The incident, which reportedly took place off the beach in Sousse, ruined Wilson's vacation. She stated that the operator's legs straddled around her during the incident and that he also touched her leg.

The travel company EasyJet is investigating the incident, and British authorities and her insurance company are assisting with the case. Multiple entities are currently probing the matter, including UK authorities.

Wilson, who was on the trip with her 17-year-old daughter, her friend, and her 16-year-old twin sons, described the operator's actions as going beyond mere "banter" common in some countries and constituting sexual assault. She reported the incident immediately to local authorities and believes the operator has been arrested.

The cost of the $8,000 trip, booked through EasyJet, has been marred by this unfortunate incident. Wilson initially intended to parasail with a friend, but staff informed her that windy conditions meant both women would have to go separately with an operator. Wilson claimed the operator was moving back and forth into her and talking to her in Arabic during the ride.

No further official updates on the investigation or the status of the accused operator have been publicly released yet. Wilson felt violated, dirty, and scared during the incident and hopes that her story will raise awareness and prevent such incidents from happening to others in the future.
