Tulsa Libraries Host Free STI Awareness Town Halls with Testing, Gifts & Resources
Tulsa City-County Library is hosting a series of town halls focused on sexual health awareness. The first event will take place on January 31, 2024, at Rudisill Regional Library, with no registration required. Attendees will learn about the rising STI rates in America, with 1 in 5 people having an STI at any given time. The event aims to empower attendees and encourage open discussions in a judgement-free environment.
The town hall on January 31 will offer complimentary STI testing and free gifts to the first 20 participants. Light refreshments and healthcare resources will also be provided. A Spanish session will be held on February 15, 2024, at Martin Regional Library. Another event will take place on February 29, 2024, at Central Regional Library. These events are organized by Tulsa City-County Library to raise awareness and promote sexual health education in the community.
