Train Rides in the Region: Incidences of Sexual Harassment Reported
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, a distressing incident occurred on the Regional Train RB 27 (17185) from Schliengen to Haltingen. The Federal Police is seeking witnesses for this incident, which involved a 13 or 14-year-old girl.
The suspect, described as approximately 40-50 years old, around 160-170 cm tall, with a 3-day beard, wearing glasses, dark blue jogging pants, a grey sweat jacket, and a grey baseball cap, allegedly committed sexual harassment against the girl.
The suspect was seen at Schliengen station before the incident and was carrying a white bicycle and a black suitcase. He did not provide any personal identification during the incident.
The suspect's actions are being investigated by the Federal Police Inspectorate Weil am Rhein. Anyone who observed the incident but did not witness the suspect is also asked to contact the Federal Police.
