Tourists Meet Tragic End in Sirius Following Consumption of Alcohol Purchased from Local Market

In the Krasnodar region of Russia, a criminal case has been expanded to include the seizure of alcoholic beverages and the identification of the manufacturer and other involved parties. This comes after a series of poisoning incidents at the "Kazachy" market in Krasnodar, where three citizens who consumed homemade alcohol subsequently died.

The raids on the "Kazachy" market, conducted by police officers with the support of the National Guard, are part of the ongoing investigation into this tragic incident. The alcoholic beverages suspected of causing the poisoning were seized and sent for examination.

Two local women who worked at the market were detained for selling artisanal alcohol passed off as homemade chacha and wine. These women admitted guilt but claimed it was an unintentional crime. Authorities are actively investigating to identify the actual producers of the surrogate (artisanal) alcohol.

A 55-year-old man from Abkhazia was also detained in a related case for selling homemade chacha, wine, and cognac, indicating that multiple sources of unsafe alcohol are under scrutiny. Other persons involved in the illegal activity at the "Kazachy" market are currently being identified.

The Russian MVD's official representative, Irina Volk, reported the arrest of these individuals in the Krasnodar region. It is noted that there may be more victims from the poisoning, and the investigation is ongoing, with the potential for more victims to be identified.

The manufacturers of the life-threatening alcohol remain unidentified publicly, but law enforcement is pursuing them as part of the criminal investigation that has so far implicated local sellers at the Kazachy market who knowingly sold these unsafe products as homemade.

The authorities urge the public to be cautious when purchasing alcoholic beverages, especially from unregulated markets, to avoid such incidents in the future.

  1. The criminal investigation in Krasnodar, Russia, has expanded to include not only the seizure of unsafe alcohol but also the identification of the producers, as the authorities aim to address the issue of mental-and-physical health risks associated with such products.
  2. In light of a string of tragedies at the "Kazachy" market, the Krasnodar authorities are now focusing on health-and-wellness, particularly mental-health, by ensuring that the public is informed about the dangers of consuming surrogate alcohol, which has led to these poisoning incidents.
  3. The ongoing criminal case in Krasnodar signifies a broader concern for general-news, as it highlights the persistent problem of crime-and-justice, not only within the region but across Russia, emphasizing the need for stricter regulations and enforcement in the production and sale of alcoholic beverages.
