In the context of this announcement, the application seeks authorization for ROVABIO® PHYPLUS under Article 4(1) for use in laying hens and minor laying poultry species. This 6-phytase preparation, obtained from a fermentation broth of Trichoderma reesei CBS 148412, will be available in both solid and liquid formulations.
The liquid formulation guarantees a minimum 6-phytase activity of 5000 FTU/g, while the solid formulation offers a guaranteed minimum of 20000 FTU/g. Both formulations are intended to be included in compound feed to obtain a minimum activity of 300 FTU/kg compound feed.
The EURL has recognized the equivalence of the internal single-laboratory validated method proposed by the Applicant and the EN ISO 30024 method for the determination of the phytase activity in ROVABIO® PHYPLUS.
