Sunday's Blue Light Day: Volunteers Emerge in Support
Hagen Blue Light Day Returns to Johanniskirchplatz on September 2, 2018
On Sunday, September 2, 2018, the HagenAgentur is organising the second Hagen Blue Light Day at Johanniskirchplatz. This community event aims to raise awareness and provide opportunities for interaction with various public safety and emergency services.
Visitors can expect a wide range of demonstrations and exhibitions from the Hagen fire department, police force, Hagen's public order office, German Red Cross (DRK), German Lifesaving Association (DLRG), Technical Relief Agency (THW), and more.
The Hagen fire department will be showcasing numerous vehicles, including some rare models, throughout the day. A highlight will be the demonstration by their service dogs, displaying their remarkable ability to locate perpetrators.
The officers of the criminal police will be on hand to provide free advice on burglary protection, while the police's recruitment team will be available to share information on recruitment requirements and career opportunities within the force.
The youth fire brigade will collaborate with the DLRG to showcase divers in action using a diving container. Two traffic accident simulations are also scheduled, offering a unique insight into the work of the police and fire department.
For the younger visitors, there will be a fun activity where they can create their own fingerprint pass at a crime scene. Admission to the event is free, making it an enjoyable and educational outing for all.
The Hagen Blue Light Day promises to be an informative and engaging event, offering the public a chance to learn more about the valuable work of our emergency services. For more detailed information about the event, we recommend checking official city or police department archives, local news from Hagen or the relevant community, or contacting event organisers directly.
Health-and-wellness workshops may be added to the Hagen Blue Light Day event, providing opportunities for visitors to learn about first aid and emergency response.
To further enhance the community aspect of the Hagen Blue Light Day, science presentations could be integrated to showcase the latest advancements in transportation technology, as demonstrations by emergency vehicles have already been planned.
