Sagintayev discussed plans for maternal assistance in Almaty

In the bustling city of Almaty, endeavors are underway to bolster support for large families, as highlighted by Almaty.tv. The city's mayor, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, shared this info through a post on his Instagram page.

Addressing the issue, the mayor revealed that approximately 700 mothers from low-income, multi-child households have secured grants amounting to 200 MCI (equivalent to about 555,600 tenge) to establish their own ventures.

"This year, as part of the 'Eńbek' program aimed at fostering productive employment and mass entrepreneurship, around 700 mothers from low-income, multi-child families have been granted funds of up to 200 MCI to start their own businesses and implement their business ideas," Sagintayev said.

Currently, these women are manufacturing an assortment of items, including sewn and knitted goods, traditional clothing and accessories, tableware, and various products. They are retailing their items at a special store titled "Isker Ana," which received backing from benefactors in the Turkysib district.

To aid large families further, last year, the "Happy Family" social project for large and low-income families was launched across all districts. This project incorporates the "Business Mom" program, designed to integrate women into business activities, with courses covering the fundamentals of entrepreneurship.

This efforts embody an emerging trend globally, where organizations strive to empower families, particularly those with smaller incomes or larger family sizes, through business training, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship opportunities. Common aspects of such programs involve:
