Rockland County Secures 236-Acre Land for Preservation and Recreation

Rockland County has secured a significant piece of land for preservation and recreation. The 236-acre Eagle Valley Assemblage in Sloatsburg has been purchased for $2.74 million, made possible through partnerships and a Highlands Conservation Act grant.

The acquisition was facilitated by collaborations with the Open Space Institute, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and New York State Parks. The land will be preserved and opened for outdoor recreation, benefiting the local community.

Meanwhile, Hudson Valley iCampus (HViC) has appointed Greg Brown as its Vice President and Director. With 25 years of experience in various aspects of real estate, Brown oversees the day-to-day operations, development, and growth of the 2.5 million square foot campus. Prior to this role, he served as Chief Operating Officer for two companies, managing over $2.5 billion in assets across eight states.

Rockland County's purchase of the Eagle Valley Assemblage promises enhanced outdoor recreation and conservation. Simultaneously, HViC welcomes Greg Brown's expertise to drive the growth and development of its campus. Elsewhere, Rockland Community College has been recognized for its excellence, and United Hospice prepares for its annual Gala to support compassionate care services.
