Road trip ahead: Landshut returns to STADTRADELN 2025!
Landshut District Launches STADTRADELN Action for Sustainable Mobility
The Landshut district in Germany is inviting everyone to participate in the STADTRADELN action, a cycling event aimed at promoting sustainable mobility and the joy of life. The action will take place from June 22 to July 12, 2025.
Riding in teams is a key aspect of the STADTRADELN action, with a minimum of two people per team. Registration for the event is free and can be done at [www.stadtradeln.de/landkreis-landshut]. The digital platform RADar!, available for all cyclists during and beyond the action, allows for reporting of cycle path and infrastructure issues.
The goal of the STADTRADELN action is to cover as many miles as possible by bike, whether for work, school, or leisure. Prizes worth a total of 1,000 Euros will be awarded in the event. The team with the most total kilometers will receive 300 euros, and the team with the most kilometers per capita will also receive 300 euros. The most active individual cyclist will receive a 200 euro voucher.
All prizes in the STADTRADELN action are redeemable in the form of vouchers at local bike shops. Teams can be from companies, families, school classes, or sports groups. The event is open to anyone who lives, works, goes to school, or belongs to a club in the district.
André von Mesenkampff, the district's climate protection manager, is coordinating the event this year. Landrat Peter Dreier is looking forward to the event, aiming to motivate as many citizens as possible to bike. The person who will initiate STADTRADELN for the last time this year together with Landrat Peter Dreier is André von Mesenkampff himself.
The STADTRADELN action offers a great opportunity for a cozy or sporty start, as evidenced by the Car-free Sunday in the market Ergolding on June 22. The district looks forward to many committed participants, new records, and above all: lots of joy in cycling. Everyone is cordially invited to participate in the STADTRADELN action and set a sign for sustainable mobility and joy of life.
