Resignations announced by the F.D.R.s of Argun District

Field doctors in Priargunsk, employed by the mobile teams at the Priargunsk Central District Hospital, are resigning en masse due to a dispute over additional payments. The conflict stems from the employer's refusal to provide the promised supplementary compensation, which the doctors deem essential for their work under challenging conditions.

The doctors' union, "Action," has reported this situation on their website, expressing concerns about the quality of medical services in Priargunsk due to the acute staff shortage. The court has previously recognized the medical staff's right to a monthly special social allowance of 30,000 rubles, starting from March 2024. However, the employer's appeal against this decision is causing issues in its implementation.

The union's representative has highlighted the contrast between the court's decision and the employer's actions in Priargunsk. In response, the field doctors have filed a collective complaint with the district prosecutor's office. With the majority of field doctors resigning, only one will remain in Priargunsk.

The lack of support from the management is forcing the institution to involve unqualified staff in providing medical aid, which contradicts the norms and threatens the quality of services. The doctors perform not only emergency aid but also duties of providing primary medical and sanitary aid, effectively replacing the absent reception.

The situation is paradoxical, as the union has won a case that should provide additional funding without requiring additional funding from the regional budget. Yet, the management's position is such that they are not utilizing the external funding provided by the district court's decision.

The employer argues in their appeal that the field doctors do not provide the aid mentioned in the court's decision. However, this assertion contradicts the duties performed by the field doctors as stated in the court's decision. The conflict over additional payments has led to a wave of resignations, leaving the medical services in Priargunsk in a precarious state.

The lack of proper financial support from the employer is causing a significant shortage of qualified field doctors, which could negatively impact the health-and-wellness, including mental health, of the residents in Priargunsk. This tense workplace-wellness situation, escalated by the dispute over additional payments, is highlighted in the general news and political discourse. The conflict raises concerns about the quality of medical services in Priargunsk, as the remaining field doctor will shoulder the burden of both emergency aid and primary medical and sanitary duties. It's crucial that the employer recognizes and adheres to the court's decision for the special social allowance, as the science shows that well-compensated medical professionals lead to better health outcomes.
