Proposal for safeguards addressing worker radiation risks sought by Commission
On September 13, 2025, a physical altercation took place on the RB 53 train, as a 34-year-old man caused disruption and distress to several passengers and DB AG employees.
The man, whose identity has been withheld in the sources, locked himself in the train toilet after being asked to leave. When confronted, he spat at a train employee and physically attacked two passengers, causing minor injuries.
The Federal Police Inspectorate in Würzburg, responsible for ensuring the safety of train users and facilities in Lower Franconia and parts of Upper Franconia, has initiated an investigation against the suspect for suspected dangerous bodily harm, insult, and fare evasion.
