Jaume Anglada, a well-known Mallorcan singer-songwriter, is currently fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Son Espases University Hospital in Palma de Mallorca. On August 8, he was involved in a severe motorcycle accident caused by a drunk driver who fled the scene.
The accident left Anglada with extremely serious head trauma and multiple injuries, including a traumatic brain injury. He was immediately taken to the hospital and placed in a medically induced coma to stabilize him. Since then, he has undergone or is expected to undergo complex surgeries as part of his treatment.
Anglada's condition remains critical but stable, given the gravity of his injuries. He continues to receive intensive medical care at the hospital. Friends, family, and the public remain hopeful for his recovery as he battles through the aftermath of the accident.
At the moment, Anglada remains sedated to control pain and facilitate his recovery. His family reports that at times he does not accurately respond to questions, which has added to the concerns surrounding his health.
Jaume Anglada's wife, Pilar Aguiló, family members, and friends such as Carolina Cerezuela and Carlos Moyá are with him at the hospital. The Royal Family is also closely following each development in Anglada's condition due to their close friendship with him.
