The press service of the MVD for the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) reported that a pensioner had reported a mobile phone theft to the duty office. The suspect, who had been caring for the elderly man for a month with the consent of his children, is alleged to have exploited her position of trust to commit the theft.

According to the investigation, the suspect began secretly stealing money for her personal expenses and taxi fares. She is also suspected of making purchases and transferring money using the pensioner's mobile phone. The stolen mobile phone has since been recovered.
