Hospital's Care Director Switches Roles at Siloah St. Trudpert Institution
After a storied 28-year career, Annette Weis, the long-serving Nursing Director at Siloah St. Trudpert Clinic, has retired. Her departure marks the beginning of a new era, with Maureen Achtler stepping into the role following her promotion to Deputy Nursing Director at the start of 2023.
Annette Weis, who had been representing the largest professional group in the house, with over 800 nursing staff, for the past eight years, emphasized the importance of team support in a leader's effectiveness. She thanked all professional groups for the collegial, appreciative, and trusting collaboration during her tenure.
Hospital Director Dr. Ulrich Schulze gave a heartfelt farewell speech for Annette Weis, praising her dedication and success with the nursing team. Annette Weis, in turn, thanked all for their support and active role in change processes, expressing her gratitude for the collaborative spirit that had characterised her time at the clinic.
Maureen Achtler, the new Nursing Director, has been a part of the Siloah St. Trudpert Clinic family since 2002, having completed her nursing training there in 1999-2002. With over fifteen years of leadership experience in the nursing service, she joined the nursing management in 2021 and has been preparing for her current leadership position in the clinic's upper management.
Maureen Achtler thanked Annette Weis for her support and active role in her preparations for the position. She is currently enrolled in a part-time Bachelor of Arts in Nursing Management at FOM University of Economics and Management in Karlsruhe, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and development.
As she takes on her new role, Maureen Achtler looks forward to building on the strong foundations laid by her predecessor and working together with the dedicated nursing team to ensure the continued success of Siloah St. Trudpert Clinic.
