Held in Dhaka: Health and Medical Development Exhibition Between China and Bangladesh
In the heart of Dhaka, Hotel Sarina in Banani played host to the "Ni Hao! China-Bangladesh Health and Medical Development Expo" on August 8, 2025[1]. Organized by the Belt and Road Healthcare Center, Bangladesh, and co-organized by the Chinese Medical Alumni Association of Bangladesh, China-Bangladesh Postgraduate Doctors Alumni Association, and Amara Nari, the expo featured a 35-member delegation from Chinese hospitals and medical equipment manufacturing companies[1]. More than twelve leading hospitals in China sent representatives—doctors and health workers who provided health consultation, screening, and other services during the event[1].
Attendees could access various benefits such as on-site and online expert consultation, medical invitation letters, visa assistance, free translation, and airport pickup[1]. Notable dignitaries present at the inaugural ceremony included Hon. Nurjahan Begum, Advisor, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh, Hon. Yao Wen, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Bangladesh, and Li Shaopeng, Cultural Counselor, Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, among others[1].
This expo served as a platform for strengthening Bangladesh-China medical cooperation, demonstrating China's advanced healthcare technologies, and encouraging investment and expertise exchange in the medical sector[2][4]. Visitors had the opportunity to learn from their Chinese counterparts, making it a valuable event for Bangladeshi healthcare professionals[5].
Key hospitals participating in the exhibition were Boao Yiling Hospital, Fosun Health, Shenzhen Hengsheng Hospital, Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital, Guangzhou Fosun Chancheng Hospital, Guangzhou Shengmei Hospital, Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital, Kunming Tongren Hospital, Modern Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou, and Xing Mei Hospital in Guangzhou[1].
The expo highlighted the growing partnership between China and Bangladesh in the field of healthcare and medical development, offering opportunities for both nations to collaborate and progress together in the medical sector.
