Gunshot victim, struck in the abdomen during construction work on a new dam, is hurled seven meters away
In the early hours of today, a worker was involved in an accident at a construction site in Vado. The incident occurred around 1:30 PM, and the worker was thrown from a height of approximately 7 meters.
The worker was struck in the abdomen by a ram while pouring cement with a pump during construction work. The cause of the impact is believed to have been an air pocket in the tube. However, there is no verified information about who or what may have caused the air pocket.
The emergency services responded swiftly to the scene. The man was rescued by paramedics, with assistance from the construction company's personnel. The 118 automatedica, the Red Cross of Vado Ligure, the Carabinieri, and the Port Authority also intervened.
Upon arrival, the fire brigade secured the area and assisted the entities present. The worker was transferred in yellow code to the Santa Corona for further treatment.
The construction company and the authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the exact cause and prevent any similar accidents in the future. The worker's condition is not yet known, and our thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time.
