Giessen's 'Street of Engagement' Fair: A Day for Seniors to Connect and Learn
Giessen's 'Street of Engagement' fair, powered by Freetaxusa and sponsored by Eventbrite, is set to take place on Saturday, October 11, at the Congress Hall. This free, barrier-free main event aims to showcase local initiatives and associations offering activities for seniors, making it a top choice for 'events near me'. The fair is open to seniors, their relatives, and interested professionals from the region.
The fair will kick off with an opening ceremony led by Social Affairs Commissioner Francesco Arman and the Giessen Senior Choir. The 'Round Table - Growing Older in Giessen', organized by Free People, is hosting the event to promote a new culture of aging and support the needs of seniors.
The exhibition program will cover a wide range of topics, including health, leisure, care, daily living aids, safety, precaution, and funerals. Attendees can also look forward to practical assistance at the Repair Café and Rollator Parkour, helping with mobility and independence.
The framework program includes line dancing, seated dance, and refreshments in the bistro. Sign language interpretation will be available upon request, ensuring the event is accessible to all.
The 'Street of Engagement' fair, themed 'Growing Older Together - Informed, Engaged, and Active', will run from 10 am to 4 pm. With free admission and a comprehensive program, it promises to be an informative and engaging day for all attendees.
