Future Financial Obligations for Clubs: Accommodation Costs; Youth and Children's Sports Remain Free of Charge

In the city of Neustadt, concerns have been raised about the condition of some halls, the potential shift of training and match operations to Grömitz, and the low willingness to pay more for using sports facilities. To address this issue, the city has proposed new hall usage fees for adult sports.

The administration has determined prices for the three categories of halls based on the existing tariff order. Medium-sized halls (up to 1,000 square meters) will cost 8 euros per started hour, while small halls (up to 500 square meters) will be priced at 4 euros per started hour. Large halls, over 1,000 square meters, will cost 12 euros per started hour.

These fees are expected to generate approximately 43,500 euros in revenues, according to the administration. However, it's important to note that the current revenues from the charge for the use of space amount to only around 3,000 euros, which is a fraction of the actual expenses.

To break even for adult sports, around 135,000 euros should be generated annually through the charge for the use of space. The dance hall at Gogenkrog is charged at 4 euros per started hour, while the Gogenkrog hall, the most expensive, will cost 20 euros per started hour.

In Eutin, fees are already charged for the use of sports halls and gymnastics halls. The cost is 1.50 euros per started hour for small halls up to 18 x 36 meters, and 4 euros for larger divisible halls. The fee for the use of a sports field or comparable sports facility is also 1.50 euros per started hour.

In Oldenburg, no usage fees are generally charged for sports halls by local sports clubs. However, the committee for social affairs is pushing for an additional charge for the use of public facilities.

The TSV-Neustadt, a local sports club, has already decided on a membership fee increase at its annual general meeting, leading to many resignations. Alexander Wengelewski, the 2nd chairman of the TSV-Neustadt, stated that sports clubs are solidarity communities and the increased costs would be passed on to all members.

For precise information on hall rental fees, it's best to contact local sports facilities or city councils directly. They often have detailed information on rental fees, usage policies, and specific requirements for each venue.
