In a heartwarming display of support, a fundraising campaign named "because Tobi's only task now is to fight and live" has been initiated by Tobi's friends. The 33-year-old, diagnosed with lung cancer on August 25, 2025, is described as a joyful, light-hearted person who is always ready to help his family.

Tobi, a loving husband and a proud father of a young son starting kindergarten, has been building a strong physical body over the years. However, the size of his tumor, measuring eight centimeters, presents a formidable challenge. Since the diagnosis, Tobi and his family have been living with fears such as losing their home and dreams not being realized.

His wife, Vanessa, carries a heavy burden, managing childcare, doctor's appointments, worries, and tears every day. No one can bear this burden alone, implying that Tobi's family and community are facing a collective struggle.

The donations received are being used to cover the family's ongoing costs, including home expenses, living expenses, and illness-related costs. A financial cushion is being created with the donated funds, providing much-needed relief during this difficult time.

Sven Lehmann manages the donated funds and passes them directly to Tobi and Vanessa for full support. Notable donors include Karl Diederichs GmbH & Co. KG from Remscheid, who donated 1,000 euros to the campaign.

The donations also provide hope, time, and the chance for Tobi's young son to see him laugh, for Tobi's wife to stand by his side, and for them to continue dreaming. A celebration is planned for when Tobi's health permits, a day that everyone eagerly awaits.

It's important to create a financial safety net for Tobi's family due to the limitations of sick pay in Germany. After six weeks of wage replacement, one only receives sick pay from the health insurance, which is about 66% of income. This sick pay is paid for a maximum of 78 weeks, after which the entitlement ends completely.

At this moment, no search results explicitly mention any foundation or organization that has donated specifically for the support of Tobi and his family. Yet, the outpouring of support from the community serves as a testament to Tobi's impact on those around him.

As Tobi faces his battle against lung cancer, the community stands united, offering hope, support, and a fighting spirit.
