Fire on Garden Street Causes €3,000 Damage, Injures Officer
A small fire broke out in a multi-family home on Garden Street. Firefighters swiftly extinguished the blaze, but not before causing an estimated €3,000 worth of damage. A police officer was lightly injured during the evacuation and received medical treatment.
The incident led to a temporary full closure of Garden Street as police and firefighters worked together to ensure the safety of residents. Four occupants of the affected home were successfully evacuated. The name of the injured officer has not been disclosed.
The fire was brought under control with no further injuries reported. Repairs to the property are expected to commence soon, with the total cost of damage estimated at around €3,000.
