Wupper Association's Bat Excursion at Diepentalsperre in Leverkusen
The Wupper Association, celebrating its 95th anniversary this year, is organising a series of events to engage the community and highlight the importance of nature and environmental conservation. One such event is a bat excursion at Diepentalsperre in Leverkusen, scheduled for August 15th and 22nd.
This free event invites participants aged 14 and above to embark on an evening tour to observe and learn about local bat species in their natural habitat near the reservoir. To join, prior registration is required as the number of participants is limited to ten per event. Registration can be done by emailing [email protected].
During the excursion, participants will be equipped with flashlights and "bat detectors" to aid in the search for these fascinating creatures. The event aims to educate participants about the lifestyle, orientation, migration, and protection of bats.
