Enhancing Workplace Mental Health Secures $35 Million Funding Through Unmind
Unmind, a leading enterprise mental health platform, has announced a strategic investment of $35 million from TELUS Global Ventures. This investment is part of a total $82 million raised by Unmind to date, with support from investors including Project A, Felix Capital, and Sapphire Ventures.
The funding will be used to expand Unmind's comprehensive mental health services, which include therapy, wellbeing tools, science-backed content, AI coaching, and a modern Employee Assistance Program (EAP) integrated into one platform. A key feature is Nova, Unmind’s generative AI-powered mental health companion used by global brands, providing personalized mental health guidance and support.
In a strategic move, Unmind has appointed Laura Moniz de Aragão as Chief Revenue Officer to lead global growth, with a focus on accelerating expansion in the U.S. and developing deeper strategic partnerships worldwide. TELUS Global Ventures, led by Managing Partner Terry Doyle, highlighted their investment as a strategic alignment to address the rising demand for workplace mental health solutions by combining expert care with smart technology and AI-driven analytics.
Dr. Nick Taylor, CEO and co-founder of Unmind, expressed his excitement about the investment, stating, "We're thrilled to have TELUS Global Ventures join us on our mission to change the way companies approach mental health. This investment will allow us to scale our employer-provided mental health solutions globally, blending innovation in AI, data analytics, and integrated care to support healthier workplaces across different markets."
With this investment, Unmind is well-positioned to address the growing demand for comprehensive mental health solutions in the workplace. The aim is to foster healthier workplaces globally and reach millions of people around the world with their mental health services.
