Develops and deploys COVID-19 tracking application in Telangana
The Telangana government has taken a significant step in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic by deploying India's first automated "COVID-19 Monitoring System App." Developed by Vera Smart Healthcare, this innovative technology platform has been designed to help manage the complexities of the pandemic.
The app, which empowers each health-caller to handle over 1500 calls per day, has been instrumental in early tracking and monitoring of foreign returnees, community spread, and hospitalized patients with severe acute respiratory infection (SARI).
G. Srinivas Rao, Director of Public Health, Government of Telangana, commended Vera Smart Healthcare for its swift development of the app in a record three days. The system not only enables live surveillance, monitoring, tracking, reporting, and major bulletins but also strengthens the Covid-19 contacts outreach significantly.
The app uses IoT, Smart devices, GPS, and Geotag via a super lite centralized App installed on phones of associates from the ground level to the Chief Minister's Office. Every detail reported through the app reaches the Chief Minister's Office via ASHA workers, doctors, police, and concerned bureaucrats.
The app includes Geotagging and GPS tracking of home-quarantined individuals to ensure compliance with quarantine laws. It also facilitates simple chatbot interaction with patients, reminding them to self-administer treatment, maintain social distancing, and stay home and stay safe.
Moreover, the app provides instant trace and trackability of any quarantine breaches, with accurate information pushed to authorities. It also offers real-time analytics to officials and the Chief Minister's Office, aiding in informed decision-making.
Vera Smart Healthcare, the developer of the app, has earlier helped create detailed health profiles for over 50,000 people across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. The company has also introduced the first mobile hospital in India for increased healthcare accessibility in rural areas, covering most of the Indian villages.
In partnership with Fellow, Vera is also building smart hospitals in India, aiming to revolutionize healthcare delivery in the country. The company's commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and management during these challenging times is commendable.
However, there is no public information available that identifies the founder and CEO of Vera Smart Healthcare. Despite this, the company's work speaks for itself, and its contributions to the fight against COVID-19 are undeniable.
In conclusion, the deployment of the COVID-19 Monitoring System App by the Telangana government, developed by Vera Smart Healthcare, marks a significant step forward in the management of the pandemic. The app's features, including live surveillance, monitoring, tracking, reporting, and real-time analytics, are proving to be invaluable in the fight against COVID-19.
