The all-day café, The Grammar Room, located in both Mehrauli and Gurgaon, has introduced a new drinks menu that is gaining popularity in Delhi. The concept at this unique establishment is to make self-care less of a chore and more enjoyable, by offering beverages that serve as edible skincare rather than just supplements.

This innovative approach is the brainchild of Angela Toppo, the CMO and Co-founder of Be., who aims to reimagine how wellness fits into everyday culture. The new menu, launched in collaboration with Be, a new-age nutraceutical brand, includes seven drinks, such as tropical, citrusy blends, plant-based coffee, and detox-style greens, all infused with either marine or vegan collagen.

Collagen, a protein naturally produced by the body, serves as the scaffolding for skin, bones, and joints. Production of collagen begins to decrease around the mid-20s, leading to visible signs of aging such as fine lines, dryness, and creaky knees. Consuming collagen through drinks provides a convenient, enjoyable way to support skin glow and joint health without the chore-like feeling of strict supplement regimens.

The appeal of sipping your skincare depends on the preference for how wellness is served, such as capsules, creams, or coffee cups. Collagen powders and supplements have been available for years, but the idea of consuming collagen in drinks like smoothies or cold brew is gaining global popularity. This trend is not limited to The Grammar Room, as The Piano Man also includes collagen-infused drinks in their offerings.

The trend is fueled by a combination of growing health-consciousness, desire for beauty-from-within products, convenience, and the café's innovative positioning of collagen drinks as an indulgent, daily self-care experience rather than medical treatment. Thus, the trend at The Grammar Room is not just a strict supplement regime, but more of a morning coffee ritual. The new menu offers a combination of café indulgence and edible skincare, making self-care feel more like a treat.
