Charity organization FOS/BOS Regensburg delivers 38 embroidered pillows to Caritas St. Josef Hospital
In a heartwarming initiative, students from the Technical branch of a school have come together to create unique heart-shaped pillows for breast cancer patients at St. Josef's Caritas Hospital in Regensburg.
The project, spearheaded by teacher Martina Neumaier, was born under the guidance of Katinka Nettesheim, leader of the Creative AG. The idea was conceived during an open day at the FOS/BOS, and the students demonstrated their sewing skills to bring this project to life.
Teachers donated fabrics and materials, and new sewing machines were used to create approximately 40 heart-shaped pillows. Each pillow is unique in its design, offering a personal touch to the patients who will receive them.
The Heart Pillows, as they are called, are intended to provide emotional support in addition to physical relief to breast cancer patients. They will be distributed to patients at the certified breast cancer centre at St. Josef's Caritas Hospital.
Prof. Dr. Stephan Seitz, deputy director of the University of Regensburg's Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics at St. Josef's Caritas Hospital, has expressed gratitude for this commitment. The hospital treats several hundred women for breast cancer each year, and these heart-shaped pillows will undoubtedly bring comfort to many.
