12th Annual Roll & Stroll Fundraiser Supporting Pancreatic Cancer Patients

The 12th annual Roll & Stroll fundraiser is set to take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Capital Brewery, 7734 Terrace Ave., Middleton, WI. The event, organized by the Pancreas Cancer Task Force, aims to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research and patient care at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

Participants can sign up for the event on the day of registration, which begins at 8:30 a.m. at the venue. Alternatively, donations can be made directly to support pancreas cancer research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center and provide resources to patients and families. While the exact online donation methods aren't detailed, donations can typically be made via UW Health’s fundraising pages associated with Roll & Stroll.

The fundraiser offers various options to walk, run, or bike, with participants able to choose from a 50-kilometer, 25-kilometer, or five-kilometer bike ride. The event features a T-shirt and registration packet, food, a silent auction, and a raffle starting at 11:00 a.m.

Dr. Noelle LoConte, a medical oncologist at UW Carbone Cancer Center, emphasizes the importance of research for pancreas cancer due to its low five-year survival rate of about 13%. The Pancreas Cancer Task Force, a group of volunteers, is dedicated to raising funds for pancreas cancer research and supporting patients throughout their cancer journey.

Paige Zezulka, chair of Roll & Stroll 2025, expressed excitement for the event and gratitude towards participants. The Roll & Stroll event is eagerly anticipated by the organizers and participants, with the goal to raise $150,000 for pancreatic cancer research and patient care at the Carbone Cancer Center.

For the most seamless process, it's recommended to check the UW Carbone Cancer Center or UW Health websites closer to the event date or on the event day for any online registration or donation portal details. All the money raised during the Roll & Stroll will be used to support pancreas cancer research and care initiatives at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.

Science plays a crucial role in the research for medical conditions like pancreatic cancer, and the health and wellness of patients relies heavily on these advancements funded by events like the Roll & Stroll. Participants can support pancreas cancer research by attending the event and making donations online via UW Health’s fundraising pages associated with Roll & Stroll.
